Thirdware Solution Ltd., has said it has been hired by Dabur India Ltd., to streamline the latter's distribution and sales network, a critical component of the company's supply-chain solution.

Under the agreement Thirdware will implement MFG/PRO solution for primary sales, from the point of finished goods being dispatched from manufacturing facilities to the nationwide network of 47 carrying and forwarding agents.

The project termed as 'synergy', would be completed within 12-16 months, Thirdware said in a statement.

"In the FMCG industry, the sales and distribution cost account forms the majority of the total costs. Having strong supply-chain edge in the FMCG industry will help us implement the sale and distribution (S&D) solution at Dabur in the agreed timeframe and resolve operational issues." The Managing Director Mr. Mohan Kirane, said.

Dabur India's Mr.Gopal Shukla said: "Thirdware has a proven track in the FMCG industry. Henco, Dabur took the decision to partner with them to streamline the entire S&D system."

MFG/PRO is a fully integrated ERP solution, which includes manufacturing, distribution, customer service and financial applications.
